Research the connection movement and music at the Dance Residency led by the Austrian choreographer Olivia Mitterhuemer. After intensive 10 weeks of workshops and training, the most spectaculars variations developed by the residents will set the foundation for the virtual music performance. Filmed and edited the video version of the performance will be launched on the opening day of the Salzburg Festival.

Olivia Mitterhuemer, host choreographer of the 2021 Global Dance Residency
Olivia Mitterhuemer was first introduced to classical dance in Salzburg at the age of 4. Since 2006 she has been growing her interest in dance styles like Hip Hop Freestyle, House, Locking or Popping. After developing her knowledge through participating in various trainings and workshops in Europe and the USA, Olivia founded the dance collective Potpourri. In 2009, she co-founded the international Streetdance Battle Flavourama – one of the most renowned festivals in Europe.
Today Olivia works as a performer and choreographer, researching the topic of movement and music, and hosts trainings in Hip Hop and House Dance all across Europe.
